2025 New Year: Everyone starts somewhere, where are you?
Copenhagen, Denmark
She was like my twin, although we shared no DNA. I nagged and complained about her all the time on a daily basis yet deep down I loved spending time with her.
Procrastination, everyone knows her, and they love to hate her but hate that they love her.
At one point you leave certain people behind or they leave you for reasons you may not come to know until later on.
One thing I know for sure is everyone has to start somewhere. A sense of new found awareness washes over at random or precise moments in one’s life.
Moments like those may resemble a strong wind that pushes you to act and do things that you have put off, as if activating a windmill. Water or motivation if you will push down the stream back into the river or in other words, find the will of productivity.
Expectations reset, blockages unblocked, new hope found.
Now that the water is flowing with these new found cleared pathways, this may just be the idea of how a new year may feel.
Everything is new and thus, anything is possible.
My mother believes that your new year starts on your birthday. That is a nice way to restart for yourself but it never resonated with me.
I believe that you can start where you are. You do not need a catalyst. You do not need anything significant or life changing although many attribute major life changes they were either forced to or willfully created for themself.
You are the creator of your own life because of the freewill you possess. If you feel as though you are tied to one place, you are not, those may just be extensively rooted mental blocks.
Expectations can come from external sources mostly but often these are just what we think others may want from us. What we constantly forget is if you are in this world, especially if you have no one who is depending on you for lively support, that person who you should be prioritizing the most is yourself.
You can jump and leave, never forget that. You get to live for you.
I am living a little more day by day.
Everyone starts somewhere, where are you?
